Reservation

The Reservation section is to help you manage the information of students who booked you and the information of the upcoming lessons. There are 2 types of students, which are students who follow the planned curriculum and students who do not follow the planned curriculum. Instructions regarding how to differentiate between two types of students will be mentioned in section 3.4.2 and 3.4.3.

Booked class management

  • After your class is booked by a student, you will immediately receive an email to inform you about the booking.

  • In the reservation section on LetTutor, you can see the time of your booked class and the information of each student corresponding to that time.

"Go to lesson plan"

  • If the student follows the planned curriculum, click on the “Go to the lesson plan” button.

  • There are two elements in the Lesson plan:

+ Detailed information about the lessons and the student.

+ List of lessons for the course that the student is taking.

  • There are 3 lesson status:

+ Completed lessons: The lessons that are colored in green.

+ In-progress lessons: The lessons that are colored in orange and need to be continued.

+ Not started lessons: The lessons that are colored in blue and will be conducted if there is no In progress lesson.

  • “Upcoming” sign:

+ This shows the appointed lesson for each class.

+ If the lesson is in progress, click on the “Continue” button,

+ Click on the “Continue lesson" button,

+ Click on the “Start this lesson" button to join the class.

+ If the lesson has not started, click on the “Start” button,

+ Click on the “Start lesson" button,

+ Click on the “Start this lesson" button to join the class.

  • “View slide": Tutor can use this to view the slide and prepare for the lesson.

  • “View records”: Tutor watches the records to know how the student learned in the previous lessons.

  • “View detail”: Tutor can use this to view the review of the lesson.

  • “Update lesson”: Tutor can use this to view and update the status of the lesson.

  • “Add a custom lesson”:

+ When the student requires the new lesson apart from the planned curriculum.

+ Click on the “Add a custom lesson” button, then choose a location the tutor wants to set the custom lesson.

+ Name your new lesson in the “Lesson title” box.

+ Click on the “Add Lesson” to finish the “Adding a custom lesson” process.

“Go to the meeting”

  • If the student does not follow the planned curriculum, click the “Go to meeting" button to enter the class.

Review section

  • Tutor is required to read the review section of the student before class so that you can choose the correct material for the student.

  • After finishing a class, the tutor is required to write a review for the student by clicking on the “Write Review" button.

  • If the class has finished but you forgot to write a review, you are required to at least update the lesson status in the lesson plan section so that everything is up-to-date and the next tutor will know what part the student is studying and can choose the material for the next lesson accordingly.

  • There are several parts in the review section so tutor needs to read this instruction carefully to write a clear and standard review for your student:

+ Lesson Status: Tutor has to choose the option in accordance with their class status.

+ Book: Tutor writes down the name of the book or slide which is chosen for the lesson. If you choose the slide from the “Courses" section, you should write the exact name stated in the section.

For example: Classic - Elementary 1

+ Unit: Tutor writes down the number of the unit.

+ Lesson: Tutor writes down the number of the lesson.

+ Page: Tutor writes down the pages that the student learned in class

For example: 1 - 20

+ Lesson progress: Tutor describes the current status of the lesson to resume in the next class if the lesson status is in progress.

+ Comment section: Tutor notes down any review or suggestion for the students as regards to four factors Behavior, Listening, Speaking, Vocabulary. Tutor can also give them some homework to improve their English skill and give the overall comment before submitting the review.
