Conduct a normal class/a trial class & Evaluate level of student

Normal class conduction

Warm-up section

Tutor is required to read the review of the previous class before conducting a normal class and recommended to start the lesson with a warm welcome for students and check the internet as well as technical connections before starting the lesson. The tutor can ask the student questions such as “Can you hear/see me” to make sure your microphone and camera are active. If the tutor shares a screen, please check whether the students can see what you are sharing.

Ending section

To close your lesson sufficiently, the tutor is required to review the lesson and ask the student whether he/she needs further explanation in particular parts. Subsequently, you can give the student his/her homework (if needed) and say goodbye to your student. As soon as you end the classes, please fill in a review section of that class.

Trial class conduction

Platform

Different from normal class conducted on the system, trial class is conducted on Google Meet. Tutor can identify that it is a trial class by reading the “Request from student” box which consists of a Google Meet link.

Warm-up section

In the trial class, before starting teaching the lesson, you are required to introduce yourself by the structure “Hello. I’m … from LetTutor” and check the internet and technical connections by the method conducted in normal class. Subsequently, the tutor is able to start the lesson.

Ending section

To end the trial class, the tutor firstly reviews the lesson and asks students whether he/she needs further explanation in particular parts. Subsequently, ask students to evaluate his/her mood after the lesson. Finally, say goodbye to your student and make a proposed wish such as “Hope to see you again in the near future”.

Student’s level evaluation

After finishing the trial class, the tutor will have enough materials to evaluate the student’s studying level. Consequently, the tutor must complete the Trial Result form.

• There is an assessment criterion corresponding to each level at the top of the form.

• Fill in the general information of the trial lesson in the blanks.

• Evaluate and comment on the student’s level according to the assessment criteria.

• After finishing the form, click on the “Gửi” button to submit your result.
