Lesson Room Features
The Lesson Room Features section will guide you through how to use tools in class to efficiently conduct a class in detail.
"Mute/Unmute"
Click on the “Mute/Unmute" button if you want to turn on or turn off your microphone.
You need to frequently check to make sure that your microphone is on when you are delivering the lesson to the students.
"Start/Stop Camera"
Click on the “Start/Stop Camera" button to turn on your camera whenever you notice that your camera is off.
Keep in mind that whenever you start sharing your screen, your camera will be turned off automatically so you need to turn it on after that.
"Start/Stop Sharing Your Screen"
Click on the “Start/Stop sharing your screen" button when you want to share with the student a video or a website.
You have 3 options to choose from:
+ “Entire screen" if you want to show everything that is appearing on your screen to the student.
+ “Window" if you want to show a window only.
For example: Chrome, Word, Powerpoint.
+ “Tab" if you want to show specifically one tab to the student. For example: YouTube.
Click again on the “Start/Stop sharing your screen" button to stop sharing your screen.
"Open Chat"
Use the “Open Chat” button in case the tutor requires the student to type in an answer to the question.
If there is any technical problem regarding the microphone, both the tutor and the student can use the chatbox to inform each other about the issue.
"Raise/Lower Your Hand"
The tutor can inform the student to use the “Raise/Lower your hand” button in case he/she needs assistance during the class.
"View Full Screen"
Click on the “View full screen" button to make your screen become larger.
"Show Gallery"
Click on the “Show gallery" to open the document for the class.
Click on the “Upload my document" to open your own document. LetTutor allows PDF file only so the tutor is required to convert the file to PDF before uploading to LetTutor.
Click “Courses" to choose from the courses which have been composed by LetTutor.
Click on the “Select" to open the file and wait for it to appear on both the tutor's and the student’s screen.
In-class tool
Click on the "Zoom out" button to make the slide becomes smaller.
Click on the "Zoom in" button to make the slide becomes bigger.
Click on the "Pen" button to draw or write on the slide.
Click on the "Freeform Highlight" button to highlight any words or phrases.
Click on the "Text Highlighter" to highlight words in the textbox.
Click on the "Eraser" to erase any written words or drawn pictures.
Click on the "Picture" to open any picture that you want to show to the student.
Click on the "Note" to type in any note that you want the students to remember.
Click on the "Textbox" and click on the specific place on the slide to write words or sentences.
"More action"
Click on the “More action” button to activate different tools for the class.
There will be 5 functions in this part:
+ As soon as classes started, the system started recording. Click the “Stop Recording” button to end recording the class.
+ Click the “Share Video” button and then paste the Video link to share your video.
+ Click the “Share audio” button then watch the 5s tutorial video and choose the correct audio screen to share.
+ Click the “Select background” button to change your background appearance then click on the “Apply” button to set your chosen background.
+ Click “Settings” to open settings tab
+ In “Settings”, you have 4 areas to adjust:
Click the “Devices” to adjust your Microphone, Camera and Audio output.
Click the “Moderator” to select the 4 Mute options in your classes.
Click the “Sounds” button to select the 5 Sounds options in your class.
Click the “More” button to select Keyboard shortcuts, Language and Desktop sharing frame rate.
Click the “OK” button after adjusting all the settings to apply in your classes.
"Leave the meeting"
Click the “Leave the meeting" button to end the class.
